They made a 12 pack of bottles in a box of some of their brands. About 8 out of 12 were good. It didn’t sell well and after a few weeks the leftover stocks were sold at discount.

To find their beers, you should look to a large liquor store in your area that sells imported and specialty beers.

What is the big deal about paranormal activity?

October 28th, 2009  Tagged

I’ve seen PLENTY of horror movies that seem 10x more scary than Paranormal Activity. So whys everyone saying it’s the scariest movie ever?

Well i just went and saw Paranormal Activity tonight. I have seen my share or scary movies as well, but to be honest, this movie WAS scarier than others i’ve seen. It reminded me of how scared i was when i saw my first scary movie ever.

I think the reason alot of people say its the scariest movie ever is because when most people watch a scary movie, their brain automatically thinks "its not real, its a fictional story so i know it’ll never happen," but with this movie, its actually looks real enough to make it seem like it could actually happen. There are so many stories of paranormal activity out there, and this just is a much higher degree of it.

After the movie i was pretty freaked out for awhile, but i just decided not to think about it and got over it. I would advise you though to go see it, its an awesome movie that i want to see again. The commercials and trailers for the movie just downplay it, it really is good.

i guess you just have to see it to find out

I think that the movie industry is trying to create another Communion type movie..They’ll fail of course but they try.
corriander | Oct 10, 2009

i wish it was playing in my area, it looks like it would be pretty good…
Brittany | Oct 10, 2009

well i’ve seen my share of horror movies too…me and my girlfriend watch one or two pretty much every weekend. but i just saw the movie and i gotta say that it was scarier than any other horror flick i’ve ever seen. some of the shit that happens seriously makes you freak out and i jumped out of my seat a few times. i think people freak out cuz it says that its live footage but you should definitely go see it…its worth it
Nate A | Oct 10, 2009

omg it was scary…i didn’t want to come home..so my boyfriend had to stay on the phone with me infront of my house, until i get into my room.
?watch me shine? | Oct 10, 2009

i know.. i ask myself the same question.. i guess ppl got scared so easy this days..
but think about it … for been an independent film whit da budget of $11000 …those ppl make a great job!.. its not scary though but for what you hear it make u feel like you gotta see it to find out yourself!
Roberto | Oct 10, 2009

Yes, it definitely turn out alot less scary from what everyone told me it is. Many of the scary moments during the movie wasn’t in the movie itself, but the audience sudden and over-reacting screams from what I think weren’t that scary at all. I jolted everytime someone else screams. But the movie itself was pretty good. Buildup was good. But once it gets to the latter part of the movie, yes that’s when it hits. And yes, the audience then scares me even more.

Cake Boss Returns to TLC for Season 2

October 27th, 2009  Tagged

26.10.09

In season one, Buddy amazed the culinary world with his crazy decorated cakes and cannolis. During that time, Buddy’s devoted foodies fell in love with the show and demanded more. Some of the challenging cakes the bakery was asked to make, were a huge roulette table cake, a bi-plane, a lobsterbake-themed cake, and a fire engine cake.

“TLC as a network wanted to challenge me,” says Buddy Valastro. “But it’s also the fact that people have seen the cake, and now they have even stranger requests. They don’t want a cake. They want a cake that’ll spin, talk and move!”

“In the bakery, we

Is there train service between quito and cuenca – ecuador?

October 27th, 2009  Tagged

No, unfortunately much of Ecuador’s train system has gone to ruin. Currently there are three ways to travel to Cuenca from Quito.
a.) Drive-You can rent a car in many locations in Quito namely near the Mariscal Sucre Airport on Avendida Rio Amazonas.
b.) Bus-There are SO many buses that travel this route. It’s about 10-12 hours because of Ecuador’s highway system or lack thereof. If you go to the Quito "Terminal Terrestre". You can find great deals on buses.
c.) Air-You can fly on AeroGal, Tame or Icaro Air directly from Quito or Guayaquil.

No but there is excellent bus service. It is however a long trip. All bus trips in Ecuador are long trips. And bus service is very reasonably priced. I do not recall the exact price to Cuenca, but it is not over $10.00. The bus station in Quito is an experience.

Meaning of= "LONELY TEENAGE BRONCIN' BUCK" from American Pie Lyrics?

October 25th, 2009  Tagged

This is from the song American Pie by Don Mclean.
"I WAS A LONELY TEENAGE BRONCIN’ BUCK
WITH A PINK CARNATION AND A PICKUP TRUCK,
BUT I KNEW I WAS OUT OF LUCK
THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED."
IM LEARNING ENGLISH AND I WANT TO KNOW THE MEANING OF "BRONCIN’ BUCK" AND " PINK CARNATION" IN THE CONTEXT OF THIS SONG. THANK U
I already know the part ="Teenage broncing buck":
BRONCING=Comes from BRONCO, that is a wild horse from North America.
BUCK=male of some animals.

i would guess it rhymes with " truck". that is its only meaning.

and "lonely" and " pink carnation" go together because the carnation is for his date, if he still has the carnation, he does not have a date.

also " broncin buck " ( not sure of correct spelling) refers to a wild horse . or a horse in a rodeo. they "buck" ( jump, kick up their rear end) to try to throw the rider.

i think he was just trying to say he was a typical rural teenager on the " day the music died ".

please dont use songs to learn English. if you insist, dont ever listen to "Macarthur park".

Jr. is angry | Apr 25, 2008

frank s is exactly right with the explanation for the pink carnation; Don Mclean is trying to say he had no date, probably for what we know as "prom" here in the States…

As for the ‘broncin’ buck’, his definition is correct. In the context of the song, I believe Don is trying to say that he was a lonely teenage boy who, like so many of us at that age, could be very difficult to to get to know and spend time with, and so be difficult to be friends with… and that it would be especially difficult for him to find a girlfriend, or for a girl to be (and stay) his girlfriend.

To put it all in context:

"I WAS A LONELY TEENAGE BRONCIN’ BUCK
WITH A PINK CARNATION AND A PICKUP TRUCK"

=

I was a moody, excitable, somewhat troubled teenage boy from a backwards rural area (the pickup truck reference) who was difficult to get along with, and who had no girlfriend because of it, even though I desperately wanted a girlfriend….

Hope this helps!

If I wear a ripped-up graphic tee and colored skinny jeans, is that like retro chic?

October 24th, 2009  Tagged

I’m going to a party tomorrow night and the theme is "retro 80’s".
I saw an episode of sweet 16 on MTV (Christy) and her and her friends wore ripped up Ed Hardy shirts and colored skinny jeans or tights and stuff.
I’m going for a sexy, colorful, and playful 80s look.

any suggestions or comment on the outfit i already planned?
and of course, i have the 80s accessories and the make-up and hair under control,
i just need to know about the clothes and SHOES.

yeah, shoes, too.
i have NO idea what shoes to wear!

HELP!

That sounds good.
For shoes, wear scrunched down sweat socks and hightops.

Did Jim Reeves ever sing duets with other country singers on his albums?

I did hear one, which sounded like a very young Dolly Parton, but I haven’t heard any more.

He did a few with Dottie West but he passed away before an album was made. Best known one is "love Is No Excuse"

Jim did electronically engineered duets with Patsy Cline and Deborah Allen after his and Patsy’s deaths. As far as I know, Deborah is alive and well and working behind the scenes in Nashville.
