Why is it hard for a teenager, who lives in emotional abuse, to have an intimate relationship?
intimate and romantic? What if they try, but they just can’t seem to feel it.
How can one get beyond this hurdle?
They just can’t emotionally connect
Mostly because you will have trouble trusting the special person you want to have an intimate relationship with. It could be because that person somehow,someway reminds of the the person who abused you even if you dont realize it! They could have some of the same habits or it could even be that the have the same tone of voice that scares you!
You can get boyond this by just taking alot of time to get to know the person before you get intimate. Talk to him/her…go on many many dates until you are perfectly sure that person is the right one!
How will you know if they are the right one??
