What movies have contained in them scenes that were done using comic book art, motion or still?
Natural Born Killers, with Woody Harrelson, had some comic book work/animation done in it. It seems like Sin City or 300 would, but not really. Any other come to mind?
Casherrn (a japanese movie)
goemon (a japanese ninja movie)
cup of tears (its like 300 meets the last samurai)
sky captain and the world of tommorrow
you can find the trailers for all these visually stunning movis on youtube

You may want to check out "A Scanner Darkly", which is done entirely in a format that looks like comic book art. It’s very cool to watch.
Also, check out "The Dangerous Life of Altar Boys". There’s some animation in comic style mixed in with that movie as well.

"Sin City" and "300", although they were made with live-action and CGI, contain images that are direct references to the images and the style used in the comic-books of the same name. You can pause certain images of the film (like all the Persian soldiers falling off the cliff in "300") and find almost the exact same image in the comic-book.
Same with "Watchmen" – although it doesn’t use comic-book style animation, there are some scenes which are digital recreations of specific images from the comic-book…
The link below compares images from the film with images from the comic-book…

the only one that comes to mind is tank girl, the movie was panned but it was kind of campy and it has a cult following so it’s not for everyone but I liked it (i’m kind of a dork like that). it had ALOT of stills from the comic, one reviewer said something to the effect that it utilized every cinematic technique (including the stills) except smell-o-vision (which was auctually a real thing, but it was an epic fail)
