why do so many people hate the jonas brothers?
they are clearly targeted toward young girls id rather have my sister listen to the jonas brothers than someone like lady gaga whos lyrics consist of SEX SEX SEX DRUGS DRUGS ALCOHOL ALCOHOL ALCOHOL
why hate a band that caters to a specific demographic other than yourself? thats just idiotic.

i guess what i am wondering is why are they singled out? what makes them so much more hated than the countless other pop groups? is the popularity? if so, thats a pretty lame reason…..

I completely agree…
i think that most people don’t like the Jonas Brothers because they are a Disney band. If they were sponsored by someone other than Disney, the public would have no problem with them.

I have no opinion of the Jonas Brothers as I’ve never heard anything by them, but I have a feeling they are paid to act a certain way and if they weren’t paid so much, they wouldn’t be the same people.

i do not hate them, they aren’t worth that kind of emotion from me and while they are a far cry from talented, you do make a very good point about younger crowds listening to them over the lady gaga, black eyed peas, hip-hop crap etc etc.

I agree with the point about demographics and people for some reason not realizing that "of course I’m not going to like their music. It’s not meant for me." It’s not my cup of tea, but they work for my niece and that’s fine.
Similarly, I don’t like Lady Gaga’s music, but the whole thing doesn’t offend me either. Pop music has had major roots in sex for a very, very long time. It is what it is.

They don’t have good bass, they don’t play their own drums, all they sing about are girls, girls and more girls, they really aren’t that cute, they’re over-rated and I could go on and on…

Well I hate it when things get more credit than they deserve. And Jonas Brothers is a perfect example of that. I really can’t find anything good about their music.
I guess I just feel sorry for the kids of today. There’s no good music for their generation. When I was young there was Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Michael Jakcson, Metallica etc… There was also a lot of good music before my time. How come there’s no good music today????

I don’t hate them, I hate their fangirls who tell me that Joe Jonas is a better musician than Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page, Kurt Cobain, etc. That’s what pisses me off. The band is nothing more than N*Sync or the Backstreet Boys, just another tween phase that will pass.
