Plot: Prequal to the 2003 version of ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ is set in 1969, the height of the Vietnam War. Two young men are spending a last weekend with their girlfriends before being shipped overseas to the war. At the same time in a small Texas town, the only major business (a meat-packing plant and slaughterhouse) goes out of business forcing the town’s inhabitants to move on to greener pastures. One of the men who works in the plant is Thomas Hewitt, a deformed, demented psychopath (who will become known as Leatherface). When Hewitt finds out what is happening, he savagely murders the foreman of the plant. Meanwhile, the two young men and their girlfriends are headed down a lonely highway towards the town when they are involved in an car accident that cripples their vehicle. Soon they encounter the local sheriff, who is not really the sheriff, but the homicidal Charlie Hewitt, the uncle of Leatherface who has murdered the sheriff and taken his job and police car knowing that with the town deserted, no one will notice. Uncle Charlie/Sheriff Hoyt kidnaps three of the teens and takes them to his home where he, Leatherface Hewitt, the senile Uncle Monty, and Charlie’s sister, Luda Mae, reside. Charlie wants the developing monster ‘Leatherface’ to “refine” his murderous abilities. The one girl, Chrissie, who escaped unnoticed attempts to rescue them with the help of a biker whose girlfriend was killed by ‘Sheriff Hoyt’. What follows is a night of sheer terror at the hands of a family of cannibalistic, inbred psychopaths…

How can I forget about the scary movies? I'm terrified! Help me!?
Two nights ago I saw Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Usually I’m good with scary movies – The Ring and Silence of the Lambs didn’t really faze me – but this was by a lake away from home in a dark room. During the day I’m fine, but last night when it got dark I got so petrified, and I don’t know what of, but I started vomiting and sobbing. It’s nighttime now and I’m getting scared again, that pittish feeling in my stomach.
So please help me, how can I forget them??? How can I stop being so scared!!!!! I’m home now, so it’s a little better, but I know I’m going to be very frightened again tonight. I have my icon and my Bible, and I’m gonna say prayers, but does anyone have any advice to get unscared and to help me????????? PLEASE!!!!!!!!
also, how can I forget them? The events themselves didn’t REALLY freak me out, but they’re spurring on the terror. HELP ME!!!

I stopped watching horror movies when I saw Exorcist. It was just too gross. So I understand some of this. It was years and sometimes I still think of Psycho when I am in the shower. Best thing is not to watch them ever again.

Next, to replace an image in your head, you must replace it with something positive. Sing your favorite hymn. Say a prayer for strength and for help. Turn on all the lights and put on nice music.

Call a friend and talk. But best is to sing a hymn and say prayers or read scriptures.

Think of this, and I don’t know where it is in the Bible, "God does not give the spirit of fear but of power" and love, I think it says. So you know God isn’t giving negative vibes or fear. You need to get in touch with the Holy spirit and ask God to take away the fear. Don’t mess with unholy things, no ouija boards or anything like that.

Think positive good thoughts.

Good luck to you.

Try watching how they make a horror film. if you see how technical it is you will see its just all an illusion to terrify ppl and in your case its working.
Bookgirl | Aug 09, 2009

Try to get your mind off it, by watching a different movie, might I suggest a happy//and or funny one?
Also talking to someone about really anything might help, just to get you thinking about other things and not worrying or thinking about the scary movie you saw.
Hope I helped :]

Ok, first things first. Stop watching them hun.
Second, put it all in perspective. Remember it’s a movie, the people in it were actors and the places in it were sets none of it is remotely real. Go online and Google "Behind the scenes Saw film" and "Behind the scenes Texas Chainsaw Massacre" seeing the making of the films will help you see just how phony it really is, without all of the sound effects and such it is rather cheesy and not scary at all.

A tribute to the witches I have known, will you read and comment?
With red star in the west
Mars in my sign
The stars at my reach
I’m beginning to shine
I’m stalking the night
Through the eyes of a cat
My soul is feline
I am poised for attack
I grow belladonna
Hemlock and mandrake
Add it to my potions
With venom of rattlesnakes
I fed my garden
With blood and wormed soil
I forged the black pot
In which they boil
Under the laureled eaves
Sweet honeysuckle vines
Creep through the cracks
As nature designed
Spiderwebs in the corners
And a Widow deftly spins
A silken secure cradle
To rock her children in
Like flies in the web
The men who have loved me
They now are but offerings
To the Goddess above me
But for one who was a Shaman
Another, Gypsy Prince
I have found no lover worthy
Of either man since
Warlords have pleaded
And noblemen wept
That I would deny them
My heart, to be kept
In a prison of glittery
Jewels, silk and gold
My llife is my own
To have and to hold.
With the moon waxing full
Mars in my sign
Winds from the west
My red star forever shines.
*cackling*

 A beautiful rite.

I looked up at the sky last night and Mars was right overhead.

The main points in the prose are very understandable. It makes a flowing verse. And as i see the end and beginning are right inside the verse. Not dis-attached. I don’t know if there is a type of poem that tells a story, but you are headed in that direction.
Kathy H | Jan 22, 2010

 Merry Meet!

I loved this poem. Being Wiccan, I’m biased.

As a poem, it’s entire of itself – the references work whether or not one knows the botanical significances and symbology. The narrative is spun, fine as the spider’s silk – and the reader follows along to a really nice conclusion.

In particular, I like the bookends of the Mars, and the red star, and the west as "source," the increase of the waxing moon leading to the infinitude of "forever."

BB, and keep writing.
hey. i saw the movie dear john last night and thought it was amazing. the only part i cried in was when his father dies, and i thought that the romance stuff wasn’t that sad. but at the part on the beach where she says that she wants to become a special ed teacher because of the kid and she thinks that johns dad has autism. does his dad have something wrong with him in the movie? i thought he did and then my friends weren’t sure either. i felt so bad for him when he was supposed to go to the dinner with savannah and john with the meatloaf and then he had a panic attack =(

Saw the movie and liked it.
Answer to your question
I guess it was fun, dangerous and unpredictable.
fun- get to shoot down the German plans and German Zeppelin. Sense of pride.
unpredictable- you never know what’s going to happen. You can come out alive and live another day, or you can be the unfortunate one.
Dangerous- You can be shot down from behind. Unlike the plans noways, back in those days your head are exposed. There is no coverage. Getting a taste of head shot is not rare. The wings can get caught on fire.

The vast majority of that list would be good choices, with a few exceptions: The Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Flaubert works are too advanced for the great majority of teens, and Ulysses too complex probably for any teen. On the other end, the books by Edgar Rice Burroughs are too simple. If you’re looking for fast paced adventure in fantastic settings, there are many writers more recent than Burroughs who do it far better.

Of the books listed, my personal favorites are Pride and Prejudice, The Trial, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Huckleberry Finn (although the last 1/3 or so of Huck Finn is not nearly as good as the earlier sections). The Sherlock Holmes books on the list are also great, and I loved reading them at about your age.

 Oliver Twist
My fave out of those was Pride and Prejudice but I also loved Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde
Wuthering Heights.

EDIT: Sorry to say this, but you must be bored out of your mind!!!
Peter Pan. its a classic that nobody ever thinks to read… so read it lol
TaraSquad | Jan 24, 2010

I would begin with the smallest book and work your way up to the largest book. If you start with the largest book first, you might get overwhelmed.
I would recomend reading Alice and wonderland. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I got through it in less than a day too. I have a shot attention span so that’s saying a lot
Pride and Prejudice, Turn of the Screw and Portrait of Dorian Gray. I am excited to see the list and wish you luck reading all of these fine works.

Plot: Valentine’s Day 1988: At the school dance, geeky Jeremy Melton bravely faces one rejection after the other when asking four popular girls to dance with him. A fifth girl, plump and insecure, agrees, but they end up making out under the bleachers. When a group of school bullies catches them, the girl claims that Jeremy attacked her. This causes them to strip off his clothes and beat him up in front of the entire school. Flash forward to 2001. We meet the five girls who were in that school gym: Kate (Marley Shelton), Paige (Denise Richards), Shelly (Katherine Heigl), Lily (Jessica Cauffiel) and the formerly plump Dorothy (Jessica Capshaw). They are all in their 20’s now and trying to sort out their love lives, which is appropriate, since Valentine’s Day is coming up. After a disastrous date with a loser, one of the girls, a pre-med student, is murdered by a Cherub-mask wearing killer who sent her a death threat in the form of a Valentine card prior to the attack. After the four remaining girls are reunited at her funeral, they all start receiving threatening cards and messages. At first they don’t know who would want to hurt them, but eventually they figure that maybe Jeremy is responsible. Police records show that Jeremy has completely disappeared, so no one knows what he looks like. Could the formerly nerdish Jeremy have had plastic surgery and turned into one of the girls’ handsome boyfriends? Who ever it is, the lone survivor has to put a stop to this spurned individual’s murder spree before she, too, becomes a valentine to die for.

How can I charm a guy?
This guy is a player, a heart breaker, and he has broken 1 too many hearts. I have been in love with him for a year. And He leaves all these girls on the sidelines and charms them the whole time he dates someone just so he can have another girl when he gets tired of the girl hes dating.

Ever seen John Tucker Must Die? Well I wanna make him fall in love with me, and then break his heart into little pieces. he deserves it.

So give me some useful tips. not things like be yourself. I mean, how to charm a guy. I’m pretty enough to do it.

He knows all the little tricks, and I don’t. So tell me the little tricks. So I can charm him and show him what heartbreak is like.

at first be flirty with him, like very coz he’s a player, he’ll like it
dont approach him, he should, coz that will make you look a bit too slutty and desperate
start to flirt like crazy but not in an obvious way where you say dirty things or something
more natural, it’s like you dont realize you are flirting with him, he’ll think you like him a lot
then when he’ll ask you out, go out BUT dont let him touch you, coz he got use to girls being under him like on the first date
be close to him, smile and look into his eyes and when you know he’ll want to kiss you, you say something to put him off a little like ‘i’m bored, i think i’ll be off now’ you can say anything to upset him
and btw be fun around him, coz he’ll get bored of you

and btw dont do this in one day, it takes a lot of time to do it, just like in John Tucker must die, lol

lol hope it helped ^^
