political leaders ? Like the introduction of Studies on Kalaignar (CM Mr Karunanidhi) or award of Doctorate to his son and Dy CM, Mr Stalin? Earlier, Ms Jaya madam also had her share of laurels (Doctorates) from the Varisities!
The eminent thinker, orator, writer and politician that Mr K is, he had already got many laurels from his fans in and outside the party, for his contributions to literature, reformist efforts etc. Still he had allowed conferment of titles by his own / ally party’s Trusts of sorts that betrayed his weakness for more titles and encouraged the varisities (most VC’s are de facto political appointees though they went through formal ’screening’ by committees!) to flatter the octogenarian with more honours!
What are your thoughts on this trend? Would you compare it with the Nobel award for Prez Obama and justify the trend here or consider them as more insult to the titles / awards / institutions etc?
Pl try to think outside political affiliations on the trend, taking due account of the merits really possessed by the veteran statesman, but which are openly flattered beyond limits for other than just honour of the subject (For sake of sycophancy and self interests) by institutions who should follow some good tradition.
I think the question is posted already (or after this) in Current events also. And I saw the expected answers decrying the trend. What is the use of highlighting the pathology of sycophancy in the yahoo, where the visitors are few? The media should take up the exposures if they care to educate the public. But every citizen knows the survival techniques of the University administration as much as any other autonomous institution!
Did we not see even judges lauding the CM in public functions and placing requests for funds for more judicial facilities? Few standard journals only flashed the changing trend of this kind. Rulers know that they can keep people of consequence to them in good humour by providing what the posts of autonomy could not do for their appointees! And the latter in turn keep the rulers in good humour to draw the benefits. The finer elements of dignity and all are out of place in contemporary society.
Have we not see the CBI invite the indiction of the top court for its playing to the tunes of govt? If the highest and critical autonomous body could be so much ‘influenced’ blatantly by the central govt., what are these universities and film associations? They are all the same comic groups singing for their survivals.
Did you not read in papers how the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Director who was getting impressively active with exposure of misdeeds in sensitive public service depts, shifted to an insignificant post by this very state govt? So would you want the Varsity chiefs to be loyal to their designated duties and lose their next term or do some fire works to continue in the favour list of rulers?

The main points in the prose are very understandable. It makes a flowing verse. And as i see the end and beginning are right inside the verse. Not dis-attached. I don’t know if there is a type of poem that tells a story, but you are headed in that direction.

Merry Meet!
I loved this poem. Being Wiccan, I’m biased.
As a poem, it’s entire of itself – the references work whether or not one knows the botanical significances and symbology. The narrative is spun, fine as the spider’s silk – and the reader follows along to a really nice conclusion.
In particular, I like the bookends of the Mars, and the red star, and the west as "source," the increase of the waxing moon leading to the infinitude of "forever."

hey. i saw the movie dear john last night and thought it was amazing. the only part i cried in was when his father dies, and i thought that the romance stuff wasn’t that sad. but at the part on the beach where she says that she wants to become a special ed teacher because of the kid and she thinks that johns dad has autism. does his dad have something wrong with him in the movie? i thought he did and then my friends weren’t sure either. i felt so bad for him when he was supposed to go to the dinner with savannah and john with the meatloaf and then he had a panic attack =(

How can I charm a guy?
This guy is a player, a heart breaker, and he has broken 1 too many hearts. I have been in love with him for a year. And He leaves all these girls on the sidelines and charms them the whole time he dates someone just so he can have another girl when he gets tired of the girl hes dating.

and btw be fun around him, coz he’ll get bored of you

Why did the singer Derek Webb make the song wedding dress for?
The song is a metaphor for Christ and the church. One of the beautiful portraits painted in the Bible is of the church being described as the bride of Christ. We see this even in a vision of the future in Revelation 19:7.

God chooses a people to love (Adam and Eve in the beginning) and then chooses a people as a nation (Israel) to display His glory and to embrace the rest of the world. It was sealed with a blood covenant in which the Father’s walked through a blood path as a way of saying, "You can do this to me, if my Son or Daughter breaks this marriage covenant.") So when Jesus dies God is paying the bride price for our unfaithfulness. We, as a community of followers of Christ, become the bride of Christ, not because we are worthy but because we are chosen and we are redeemed.
This is where Derek Webb’s "Wedding Dress" song is so powerful. The song is essentially about how we, as Christians, often times abuse the wonderful gift of being chosen to be Christ’s "bride" and act as an adulteress. While we are offered the most unbelievable love known to mankind, we choose other "lovers." Webb reflects on this and his song is a confession that as a Christian who wants to experience love, we often choose to prostitute ourselves. That’s why Webb’s lyric confesses, "I am a whore I do confess. I put you on just like a wedding dress and I…run down the aisle." The song encourages Christians and the church to seek more diligently to be a pure bride for Christ.

How to i get veins to expose more on my legs and be more visible like Michael Jordan?
I am a young athlete but i want to know how to make my veins more visible in my lower legs. Ever seen the movie Space Jam? lol I remember a close up shot of Michael Jordans legs and he had veins popping out everywhere on his legs. But when he was younger he didnt.
So how can i get that? i have slim athletic legs and i have some veins showing but i want them to pop out more!!! Does it happen over time? is it from weight training? protein supplements?

I am writing a essay about Ghosts and Spirits and i need to include a interview so PLEASE only ones who have experienced or dealt with a encounter, i will also accept views from non-believers but my paper must support my claim that ghosts DO exist and are not a myth

In order of healthy to less healthy:
Whole grain – the grains haven’t lost their integrity since they weren’t processed
Multi-grain – still more grain than filler
Wheat and White can be the same since a lot of wheat breads are just as processed as white.
If you can, stick to brands like Ezekiel. Usually found in the "organic or heath" section of a grocery store. They are very good! Here is their link: http://www.foodforlife.com/

Multi-Grain/Wheat: Same Thing except you’ll see some worthless decoration of various grains on the outside of the loaf
White: over processed (only perk is some of it has added vitamins, but I’d stay away from it)
The big problem is the sugar and all of the artificial stuff they put into bread. Nature’s Own Makes an Organic Whole Wheat Bread that contains no animal by products or scary ingredients.
